White Earth Tribal & Community College (WETCC) in Mahnomen, Minnesota, is dedicated to academic excellence grounded in Anishinaabe culture. Its multi-phase master plan celebrates Anishinaabe heritage, with the completed campus forming the symbolic shape of a turtle—representing interconnectedness. The design features a wild rice motif and includes cultural archives, a library, and a drum hall to preserve and teach cherished traditions.
Phases I–III (2011–2016) provided classrooms, admin areas, and a drum hall, while Phase IV, set for completion in 2025, will introduce a wellness area, fitness classrooms, and a dining space with a commercial kitchen
